Like many people in the world, my mother was the first guru of my Music. Though she is not a professional Carnatic singer, however, she used to sing lots of songs at home, and that increased my oral (not theoretical) music skills.

I used to go to different houses during the Navarahtiri festival for singing goddess and other devotional songs, which in fact increased my music skills further.
Though I used to sing cinema songs, and devotional songs at home and on special family occasions, I didn\’t take many steps to learn professionally until 2010.
In 2010, I found Mrs. Rama Krishnaswamy, a famous singer who performed many Purandaradasar and Kanakadasar songs. I kick-started my professional music training journey from her and continued for a couple of years. Again, I had to discontinue due to personal reasons.

In 2016, I\’ve again kick-started my professional music training with Mrs. Ramani Krishnan, who is a very good singer and teaches the basics of Carnatic music to many students. At some stage, she has realized that I need to be trained by her Guru Sri. Guruvayoor Radhakrishnan, who is professionally certified from Madras Music College.

Since 2017, I\’ve been learning professional Carnatic Music from Sri. Guruvayoor Radhakrishnan. The way of teaching is, very detailed, such that, unless we are really proficient in one stanza or line, he won\’t move forward. He ensures all of his students study the music in depth, knowing the detailed tactics.
